The principles

How we think about delivery

  • Fixed milestones, not time & materials

We agree on deliverables, timeline and price upfront. No surprise invoices, no scope creep.

  • Written briefs, not verbal promises

Every phase ends with a written brief. You can review, share, and reference it forever.

  • Async-first, with strategic sync

Daily Slack updates, weekly Loom demos, bi-weekly sprint reviews. Live calls when you need them.

  • You deal with the builder

The person scoping your project is the person writing the code. No project managers, no account executives.

  • You own everything

Code, design files, brand assets, IP. All in your GitHub, your Figma, your accounts.

  • We measure what matters

Leads, conversions, ranking keywords, AOV, LTV. Not vanity metrics.

The six phases

From first call to live launch

  1. PHASE 01

    Discovery & strategy

We start with a 30-minute call, then a written brief. We map your goals, audience, competitors and conversion path. We agree on KPIs — leads, ranking keywords, AOV, LTV — before any code is written.

    Duration: 1–2 weeks

    Deliverables

    • Project brief (1-page written doc)
    • Goals & KPIs (with measurement plan)
    • Target audience personas
    • Competitor audit (3–5 direct, 3–5 aspirational)
    • Conversion path map
    • Scope, timeline, fixed price proposal

    Communication

    • 30-minute call (Loom, Zoom or Google Meet)
    • Written brief delivered within 48 hours
    • Async Q&A via Slack or email
  2. PHASE 02

    Architecture & planning

Wireframes, information architecture, URL structure, internal linking strategy, schema markup plan, content outline. We document every decision so the build is mechanical, not exploratory.

    Duration: 1–2 weeks

    Deliverables

    • Sitemap & URL structure
    • Low-fidelity wireframes for every key page
    • Information architecture diagram
    • Internal linking strategy
    • Schema markup plan (JSON-LD)
    • Content outline for every page
    • Tech stack & integration map

    Communication

    • Figma or PDF wireframes
    • Asana or Linear project board
    • Loom walkthrough of the plan
  3. PHASE 03

    Design system & UI

High-fidelity Figma designs with reusable components, type scale, color, spacing, motion, responsive breakpoints. You review and approve before we write a line of code.

    Duration: 2–3 weeks

    Deliverables

    • High-fidelity Figma designs for every key page
    • Reusable component library (buttons, inputs, cards, navigation)
    • Type scale, color palette, spacing tokens
    • Motion principles & microinteraction spec
    • Responsive designs (320px → 2560px breakpoints)
    • Accessibility-checked contrast & focus states
    • Figma handoff file with developer annotations

    Communication

    • Figma file with edit access
    • Asynchronous feedback rounds (up to 2 included)
    • Weekly 30-minute design review call
  4. PHASE 04

    Build & integration

Hand-coded in Next.js / React / TypeScript / Tailwind. CMS integration, third-party APIs, analytics, payment, forms. You get a private staging URL to review at every milestone.

Duration: 4–12 weeks (varies by scope)

    Deliverables

    • Hand-coded Next.js / React / TypeScript application
    • CMS integration (Sanity, Contentful, Strapi or headless WP)
    • Schema markup (JSON-LD)
    • Technical SEO foundations (sitemap, robots.txt, canonicals)
    • Performance optimization (Lighthouse 90+ target)
    • Accessibility foundations (WCAG AA)
    • Analytics, Search Console, heatmaps installed
    • Private staging URL on every milestone

    Communication

    • Two-week sprint cycles
    • End-of-sprint demo (live or Loom)
    • Daily Slack updates
    • Linear project board with real-time status
  5. PHASE 05

    QA, security & performance

Cross-browser testing, device testing, accessibility audit, Lighthouse audit, schema validation, security review, load testing. Nothing ships until it scores 90+ on every metric.

    Duration: 1–2 weeks

    Deliverables

    • Cross-browser QA report (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
    • Cross-device QA report (iOS, Android, tablets, desktops)
    • Lighthouse audit: 90+ across Performance, SEO, Accessibility, Best Practices

    • Load testing (for SaaS and high-traffic sites)
    • Bug-fix log with severity and resolution

    Communication

    • QA report delivered as PDF + Notion
    • Bug fixes included in scope (up to 3 rounds)
    • Sign-off document for production launch
  6. PHASE 06

    Launch, handover & growth

Domain cutover, Search Console submission, sitemap submission, monitoring, on-call runbook, recorded video walkthrough, written documentation, 30–90 day bug-fix warranty. Optional ongoing retainer.

    Duration: 1 week + 30–90 day warranty

FAQ

Process questions, answered

01How long does a typical project take?
A focused marketing site: 4–6 weeks. A custom Shopify or e-commerce build: 6–10 weeks. A custom web application or SaaS MVP: 8–16 weeks. A full SaaS product: 4–9 months. We give you a fixed timeline in the proposal and stick to it. We also offer 1-day VIP Design Sprints for time-critical rebuilds.
02What if I want to change the scope mid-project?
Changes are scoped, priced, and added to the timeline in writing before work begins. We use a 'change order' process: you describe the change, we estimate the cost and timeline impact, you approve, then we proceed. This protects both of us from surprise costs and timeline slips.
03Do I own the code, design files, and intellectual property?
Yes. You own 100% of the source code, design files, brand assets, and intellectual property. Code lives in your GitHub organization from day one. We sign an IP assignment on final payment. No proprietary lock-in, no template fees, no exit costs.
04What if I'm not happy with the work?
We work in fixed milestones with written briefs, so there's no ambiguity about what we're delivering. If we're consistently missing the brief, we redo the milestone at no cost. If after the second revision you're still not happy, we refund the milestone. We don't get there often, but the policy exists for your protection.
05How do you handle communication?
Async-first, with strategic synchronous calls. Daily Slack updates, weekly Loom demos, bi-weekly sprint reviews. We overlap with US, UK and UAE timezones for live calls. Most clients find they get more responsive communication than with US-based agencies.
06What happens after launch?
Every project includes a 30–90 day post-launch bug-fix warranty. After that, we offer monthly maintenance retainers starting at $79/month and growth retainers for ongoing SEO, GEO, content and CRO. We also provide a recorded video walkthrough, written documentation, and a 30-day Slack channel for launch support.
